The Perfect Me

I posted this a few months back but thought it would be worth a revisit:

If I am continually working hard to improve myself, then what type of person am I striving to become?  Here is a list of the traits I believe make the real “Vitruvian man.”   In no paticular order:

Kind

Patient

Wise

Slow to speak

Humble

Self-aware

Compassionate

Loving

Educated

leonardo

Experienced

Discriminating

Adaptable

Focused

Committed

Persevering

Listener

Slow to anger

Physically fit/healthy

Clean eater

This is basically a free-association list.  What traits should I add to the list?

  1. A long but very commendable list of traits to aspire to, Dray. I’m sure you could probably tick most of them off already. I’d have to have a think about others to add, but self acceptance is, perhaps, something to consider. 🙂

      1. It seems to be one of those traits that so many of us don’t have. We tend to spend our lives criticising ourselves and thinking we aren’t good enough. I do think your list is a good one. 🙂

      1. I’ve learned through the years not to get hasty and instead think things through til you get the whole picture. It gives you strength I think. To try to stay calm even when the winds comes.

  2. Like this list, but also like being happy just the way you are, too. I try working on myself but when I fall “off the wagon,” I also try not being too hard on myself. Thanks so much for following Oh, the Places We See. We love improving ourselves by learning through travel. Glad you’re along with us. http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
