It has been quite some time since posted a healthy living update so i thought ‘why not!?’ So if you recall I started my healthy lifestyle in December 2014 weighing in at a nice and solid 192 pounds. As of July 4 I weighed in at my lowest weight (in a very long time) of 167 pounds.
But, as most of you are aware Evelina and I left for Florida around the middle of July and decided to extend our holiday a little longer by visiting Cherry Grove, SC for a couple of trips. And while on vaca I added a few pounds. Sad news. Mostly I attribute the weight gain to too many sodas (I love Dr. Pepper, especially ice-cold on hot days!) and an addiction to Boulineau’s fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and mac n cheese! I swear they have the best fried chicken you will ever, and i mean, ever eat in your life! Usually I would have the fried okra (my fave) but for some strange reason they did not have it all week. Therefore, i substituted mac n cheese.
Anywho, I located a few of the el bees I lost over the last few months!! . Last week I weighed in at 176 and with a return to glory I dropped 1.2 pounds. It is nice to be back on track but I will admit unhealthy food tastes much better in general. Just sayin…
However, the food does not taste good enough for me to continue eating in that fashion, as I appreciate my health much more than crap food.
I have set a brand new challenge for myself. I want to eat healthy and weigh in at 165 lbs. by September 30. When i hit this goal i will officially weigh what I weighed in high school, which was a very, very long time ago…in a galaxy far, far away…
You can review my past Healthy Eating Plan and maybe start eating a little healthier yourself. Combine that with walking 5 minutes per day and you might be making this same type post in 8 months!!
