You Must Identify With the Problems in Your Life

IMG_7131The first step in turning your life around is understanding and acknowledging that there are areas in your life that need to be addressed.  For a long time I ignored my MS and did not conduct my life as someone should whose body is fighting a treacherous disease.  When I identified myself as having MS my life began to change because I began to make changes!

  1. I know 2 kinds of people. Like the article suggests, the first drop avoid or denies problems. They think if they push something out of their mind, it doesn’t exist. That only works for awhile. The other group identifies so much with the problem that the problem becomes the focus of their whole life. I do think it’s best to acknowledge and to find a way to cope. Just my 2 cents 🙂

    1. My approach is to identify, seek help/educate, develop a plan, take action, persevere. Just kind of a brief outline. I used to be the latter in your discussion. I allowed things to dominate my mind and conversation. I wore me out.

      1. That would wear anyone out. It’s good to have a plan. I have this immediate need to fix a problem which can become a problem in itself when I allow myself to feel trapped and claw my way out to escape. There has to be some balance.
