I am always trying to come up with new and creative ways to keep me striving and motivated to drive the Dream Big brand to greater heights. So I have declared 2016 My Year of Growth and if you have read my blog posts from December you know I have invited you to do the same.
I am a proponent of speaking my goals out loud on a daily basis and using my subconscious mind to take a vision and turn it into a tangible thing. I learned this tactic from Napoleon Hill and his belief system on engaging the subconscious mind. AND it works!
So for 2016 I am committing myself to the mindset that every and all Dreams I have will come to fruition.
I plan to accomplish this by dedicating myself more than ever to my list of Habits of Successful Living, visualizing exactly what it is that I desire, reading my mission statement daily and executing with preciseness my daily To Do lists.
My mind goes to a time when I did not conduct my life in this manner. I had no goals, much less, written goals. I had no vision. I had no single purpose in my life. I didn’t practice visualizing my dreams or my future.
I know for a fact there are many of my readers that don’t believe that you can use the subconscious mind to turn a vision into reality. Nor am I going to use up my time to try to convince you. Hopefully you have watched my growth and success over the last year and that lends credence to the words I speak.
Unfortunately for those that don’t believe, I have not spoken to one successful person that doesn’t believe in the power of the subconscious. Maybe it is time for you to start trying something new. Or not. I only have enough energy to use to make my dreams come true. So believe, don’t believe, it’s up to you.
I wrote this on my Facebook page a couple days ago:
Is it coincidence that the people I know that are not “fans” of positive thinking or personal development also experience a small amount of success in their lives? Is it possible that your “stuck in a rut” thinking is producing your mediocre results? Could it be possible that not being a “fan” of improving yourself is exactly what’s creating the life you complain about so often? Have you considered the possibility that it is time for a revolution in your thinking? Have you considered that small thinking creates small results?
Are you tired of living pay check to pay check? Are you tired of just squeaking by? Are you tired of watching those around you succeed while you feel like an underachiever?
If you change your mind, you can change your life.

- You and you alone are responsible for where you are in life.
- You can have the things you see in your mind and make those a reality.
- You do not have to settle for living payday-to-payday.
- You and you alone are responsible for where you are in life.
- You are a unique and special person. Different in every good way than every other human on the planet!
- Life does not have to be a constant struggle.
- Visualizing your desires will change your life.
- You and you alone are responsible for where you are in life.
- You can develop a plan that will change your life forever.
- Developing a positive mindset is a choice and is necessary for success.
- Focusing on the past will shackle you; so focus on the future and making it better.
- You and you alone are responsible for where you are in life.
- Good “luck” happens to those that practice sound life habits and bad “luck” happens to those that practice irresponsible life habits.
- The people you choose to have in your life have a serious and profound impact on your life. Choose wisely!
- You and you alone are responsible for where you are in life.
I will stand on the mountain top and scream this message until the day I have no more breathe:
You and you alone are responsible for where you are in life.
Bad things happen in life. I get it. I also have some honest news: bad things happen to everyone.
Family members get murdered. People get raped. Kids get abused. Terrorists bomb shopping malls. Planes crash. Sharks attack. People steal. People lie. Cancer happens. MS happens. Death happens.
And guess what else happens? This little rock keeps on spinning. People that obsess over the past rob themselves of a future so I warn you against how you use your energy.
If you change your mindset, you will change your life

I like that you repeated your most important message no less than 5 times in the list of 15. ☺ Personal responsibility !

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to comment on that. You are the first. I can’t tell you the number of emails I receive listing out the things that have happened to people that prevent them from moving forward. It makes me want to choke myself sometimes. lol

It is funny that you used the word persistence. I just got through telling Evelina (wife) that I feel like I keep saying the same things over and over. lol

This is a good thing. Teachers know to repeat information because not everybody sees, hears, or remembers…stuff.

I have a “friend” that I have met through blogging that operates one of the most visited blogs online. I think he says he does over 10,000 views per day. He said the same thing. The message that remains the same over a very long period of time has the greatest impact.

I agree 100%! Also, the past doesn’t define someone.

It shouldn’t define anyone, but I speak to countless individuals that are stuck in the past like Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. lol
