  1. Worthy of respect yes because I respect others. As for admiration? I’m not looking for it and try to avoid it because all I do is the best that I can do and whatever I do is not more important than the work of say a nurse, a farmer or a road sweeper or any honest worker that do their work with dedication. Admiration is something that can easily go to one’s head and inflate one’s ego. Most people especially celebrities suffer from what could be called admiration seeking syndrome or attention seeking syndrome. It’s a very destructive addiction. Not for me thank you.

  2. Everyone is worthy of love and a sense of belonging. Maslow’s Hierarchy. However, if the primal years of ones life are completely devoid of safety, trust and love it is very difficult even as a rational thinking adult to feel and think that you are worthy of love and admiration. How does the Mighty Oak or Banyan tree become so big and beautiful… Strong roots. 💜

  3. My problem is that when I think about myself and my modest accomplishments in my life and the unfulfilled potential, I am underwhelmed. I am someone that has been blessed with natural talent and gifts that I feel I should be pursuing, yet I have wasted A LOT of time. My 20s in particular. I could possibly be fluent in several languages or have a novel written by this time. I was living an extended childhood and finally grew up when I had my son. Now I see my most important role as being a mother. I’m great at it, but I could have been great at a lot of other things at the same time.
