  1. To take care of my parents when they will be on the verge of their lives… When they will not be able to do their basic daily works… When their necessity box will be filled up with pressure, diabetes and cholesterol medicines… That day I want to have their hands on mine and want to say, “don’t worry. See I’m here”…

      1. You are right. Too many people through unwanted family in homes and I hate seeing it unless the family member requires 24 hour professional care.

  2. I’ll let Neil Gaiman answer that:

“Grown-ups don’t look like grown-ups on the inside either. Outside, they’re big and thoughtless and they always know what they’re doing. Inside, they look just like they always have. Like they did when they were your age. Truth is, there aren’t any grown-ups. Not one, in the whole wide world.”

― Neil Gaiman, The Ocean at the End of the Lane

  3. I wanted to be a secretary because of the business attire and high heels 🙂
I am now, but I am still not sure about that growing up thing.

  4. Seriously, since grade school (when I wanted to be at least 6’3″,191 cm tall like Veruschka), I’ve wanted to emulate JM Barrie and write plays similar to his most popular play. Growing up not required.

      1. I’m on pause for a few days – listening to On Writing read by Stephen King. So much to absorb; the guy denies it, but he’s a genius. But stay tuned 😀

  5. Yay. The Question of the Day is back. I missed it. I am 53 and still trying to figure that out. Right now I would say author and blogger. Not world famous author and blogger, but famous enough to make a good living and retire from my 9-5 (who am I kidding 9-9) day job. My hope is to always keep some element of not growing up. I think the minute we go 100% adult, it’s the beginning of the end.
