      1. I’d never refer to Mr Mikkelsen as an object, but… If it allows me to spend some alone time with him on a paradisiac island, I am ready to make an exception 😛 Mouahahahaha

  1. This is a tough one, but shelter and a way to have drinking water would be paramount. So, I’d say my tent and my water purifier, thinking practically. Thinking like the beach bum that I am? A hammock and a lot of bourbon.

  2. A magnifying glass of to have access to heat light and a way to attract attention and a waterproof sheet/ tarpaulin for keeping warm, dry, gathering condensation to drink and using as a sail when I build a raft. It goes without saying if it wasn’t a thing you asked for I’d take my husband a man who definitely can and his toolbox. *smiles* 😇

  3. Please define deserted and the climatic conditions on the island. But I’d take a proper knife and a lighter. With that you can basically make everything

  4. My kindle and one of my instruments probably the piano, the melodica or the chromatic harmonica. Mind you, out of choice, while I’m not in the least an hermit, I lead a life quite removed from the mad crowd of humans and I use those things all the time to entertain myself.

      1. Well, theoretically, the water and food would need to be found and/or hunted. Flint would be nice, but if you had to use 2 sticks, it wouldn’t be the end of the world (unless your wood was wet, then ur just screwed no matter what you have!) Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy all the creature comforts we have available to us, but life wouldn’t be the same without the people we share it with.

      1. I’m going to be somewhere with only pen and paper, away from the craziness and nonsense of the world? I’ll die a happy woman.

  5. First of all I would take Bear Grylls because he has all the solutions to all the problems I (we) might face. And then I would take my phone so I could stay in touch with my family and tell them that I’m okay. Bear Grylls, in our family also known as Yogi Barbecue would for sure find a way to charge it and to make sure there is reception…

      1. Oh, BG would probably tell me to take a satellite phone ;-). Of course you’re right, he isn’t a thing… so maybe I take a Swiss Army Knife (one of the big ones with all the tools you can imagine) and a satellite phone so I can call Bear Grylls and ask for advice 😉

  6. I know that my family are not things, but each of us could pull our minds together and we would survive. Swiss Family Robinson of 2016! In all honesty, I don’t see myself ever being stranded on an island as I don’t like the ocean much as far being in it or on it.

      1. I like looking at the ocean and sometimes dare to walk the edges but that is it. Maybe the next question could be what would you bring if you got lost in the Adirondack mountains..
