      1. The name rings a bell, but faintly. The quote, “The map is not the territory and the name is not the thing named.” in that form comes from Gregory Bateson. He got it from Alfred Korzybski (amongst others), and it is embedded in a way in the conversation between Alice and the White Knight about the name of his song in “Through the Looking Glass”. Russell and Whitehead also touched on it in their “Principia Mathematica”. I’ll have to look up Godin.

      2. Godin is the man in the poster on this post. He’s a blog and marketing guru. He has made TED talks and has interesting perspective on building a tribe online.
