Let me ask you a question:

What grinds your gears the most? Β Is it something you think you need to work on?

  1. I am too emotional sometimes, and I don’t even know where it started. I used to be as solid as stone when it came to crying, but this year was different. I wouldn’t change that though, since it helps me get over things quicker, but it bothers me to the point of frustration.

  2. Rude people who, for some reason unbeknownst to anyone but themselves, feel entitled. Pisses me off. And, no, I don’t feel like I need to work on it. It will always piss me off. Sometimes I mention it to them, sometimes I just ignore it. But it always pisses me off.

  3. Like TizzyMatic I am far more emotional than I used to be. Perhaps it’s just an unwanted side effect of getting older. And I’m impatient! Less so than when I was younger but still it’s something that I need to work on. In others it’s being fake and being callous.

  4. The media. I think that the media is responsible for many of the problems and ills of the world. Also politicians and people in positions of power. I think that nowadays the world is controlled and run by idiots. The solution are the ordinary people who together could make positive changes but the majority are simply sheep manipulated by the media, corporate firms, politicians and people in positions of power.

    • You have never said truer words. I don’t use the word hate, so I’ll say I strongly dislike the media. Every outlet misleads and lies to sell more. It makes it impossible to know what is truth and what is false.

  5. Yesterday, in a busy shopping street I saw a tall man shouting racial abuse at a group of three people of Chinese ancestry. I stepped in between them, put my arm round one of the Chinese women and told her to walk with me. The man stopped abusing them and we walked on. They were quite shaken up.I told them he was not alright and to just let it go. This is just not acceptable behavior. The man was not crazy he was a blatant racist. I simply cannot condone this. The Chinese group had done nothing to deserve this onslaught. Racism like this is something that “grinds my gears”!!!

    • I cannot stand racism either. I actually let my boyfriend go because of that. Whenever somone of my skin tone did something he would make statements like “your people have done this, look what your cousins are doing (btw these were total strangers)”… to say the least.

I tried to address it but he said being overly sensitive. And then on birthday he got me a particular perfume because he was told people of my color like it. I couldn’t take in the Passive Racism any longer so i let him go

  6. An interesting question after this election. I’m typically not publicly political but I struggle with our current president elect using Twitter as a way to vet his policies and positions. If you didn’t know it was a 70 year old man who is designated to be the next leader of the free world, you would swear that some of his tweets were written by a high school girl who was snubbed by the kids in the popular clique.

  7. Oh man where do I start?? πŸ˜‚ I can be a super moody and sensitive person. Like others said, I can’t stand rude and entitled people or bad drivers. I don’t like fighting/arguing with anyone either.
