Danny’s World: I Know My Mission, Do You?

It is important to me to know why I do what I do.  I do not move through the life all willy-nilly.  I have to have a purpose and I must understand-to the best of my ability-what that purpose is and how I can best advance it.

Danny's iphone 022So for me to be the best blogger I can be I set myself goals and a mission-seek to add value to the lives of others.  I use this mission statement to guide my online movements.  When I am considering a new segment I ask myself the question “does this segment add value to the lives of my readers?”  If it does I move forward, but if it doesn’t I rethink my actions.

I know why I blog.  I understand my mission.  And I think it is important for bloggers to know why it is they blog when they could easily be doing other things.  Not all bloggers have such a formal approach to blogging and that is okay.  It is simply the way I conduct myself and it helps me.  But even if you don’t have a formal mission statement I think it would benefit all bloggers to at least ponder their reason for blogging.

  1. It’s a good question. Why do we blog? I originally started because I love to write, and I read that an author needs a platform, right? My original blogging plan has been evolving since I started a month ago but I’m finally beginning to see where I want to go and what I want to say.
