This morning I talked about effort at work..  As it relates to your professional life, let me ask you a question…

Does your effort at work reflect you to be a top producer for your company?  In other words, do you give your 100% best effort at work on a weekly basis?

  1. When I was working outside the home I feel that I did give my best most of the time. There are always those days that we are tired or not feeling well, but in general, I was a go-getter. The same way when I serve in a volunteer capacity. I am of the mindset that if it’s worth doing, it is worth doing well. 🙂

  2. I work as hard a I can at being retired, and being retired, I am the only judge of my efforts. When I was working, I think i came close to 100% a lot of the time, and some weeks, more than I knew I could. And, when I had my own business, 16 hour days 7 days a week for months at a time. You are your own most demanding boss.

  3. Not lately but usually. I’m usually the one working until exhaustion and everyone else is coasting. But since I’m currently working alone, the dynamic is different and I’m finding my equilibrium. So I’m not in an optimal position.

  4. I’d like to say so, but unfortunately my motivation has been challenged by recent events at work. I still do my best, but I know I could do better. I just hope things will settle back to normal soon. Otherwise, I’ll have to consider making changes in my life….

  5. Unfortunately I don’t. I’ve been staying up watching Netflix and Hulu. Operating on 3 hours sleep so at work I’m not even 100%. I’m more like 65-70%. I can’t remember when I last got 8 hrs

  6. I was raised to believe that whatever I do deserved my best efforts. You don’t judge whether a job is worthy of your best. If it is your job, you make yourself proud of your work. If it is on a team it is to help the team. If for you alone, it is to know You did your best. Sometimes my best is not as good due to illness or other circumstances. But at the those times I still give the most I am capable of. I sleep well at night. I became a happier person when I stopped worrying about others doing their best.
