This morning’s post was about a song I had stuck in my head..  Let me ask you a question…

What was the last song you had stuck in your head?

  1. “When I Was A Lad” from “HMS Pinafore” by Gilbert and Sullivan – It got stuck, of course in response to politics and party line votes.

” grew so rich that I was sent
By a pocket borough into Parliament.
I always voted at my party’s call,
And I never thought of thinking for myself at all.”

Incidentally, it was this song that so offended Queen Victoria that she refused to grant Mr. Gilbert a knighthood. Her son, Edward VII did knight Gilbert when he ascended the throne.

  2. A Hindi song . I’ll translate….”Don’t say anything, just don’t say anything
What’s to be said, what’s to be heard
You know that, I know that
    This moment has become still
And in this moment no one else is there
    Just me and you
Don’t say anything, just don’t say anything.”
