This morning’s post was about how people view us compared to how we see ourselves..  Let me ask you a question…

Do you believe your view of yourself is in line with how others view you?

    • I think if we are all being honest there are some people in the world whose view you do consider important. It isn’t possible (except for sociopaths) to move through life completely detached. In that light what is your answer? lol

      • Anyway, people put tags on you without even trying to get to know you better. Most times they are seeing your from their own perspective and their judgement is based on their own life experiences, so it could be difficult to really know how they see me and tag me.
But the truth is I am now in a place of not really paying much attention on other’s opinion. I just try to be congruent with myself. 🙂

  1. My family members see me as I was as a child, and disapprove without even trying to discover who I am now. My friends see me as a determined, opinionated person who challenges authority. It is just one part of me. I see myself as both good and bad traits competing for attention…and I hope the good outweighs the bad every time they compete.

    • The truth is you will never view yourself the same as others view you. It is a built-in self-preservation mechanism found in all humans. So the idea is to become confident and self-aware. 🙂

  2. This is one of those ‘depends’ questions. I’m great at expressing myself online. In person, however, I struggle sometimes and I think this comes off as a lack of confidence or lack of ability. I’ve been trying to figure it out my entire life, but I’ve finally come to terms that I have to try harder in person.
