This morning I wrote about Evelina’s scary situation at work..  Let me ask you a question…

When was the last time you found yourself involved in a physical altercation?

  1. When I was 12 (I am now 68) and my mother did one of her usual maneuvers with me and I decided I was now big enough to fight back. That was the last one of those and the last time I got into a physical altercation with anyone.

  2. I try to avoid these in the interest of self-preservation. I think I would have to go back to about 6th grade and I think it had to do with an older kid stealing my lunch money and my response with a well-placed kick to his goodies.

      • Yes. It’s really great. My husband started off and close to his instructor grading. The kids then followed and now I started (beginner level). It’s pretty empowering in a sense to train with big, strong guys and see how you can actually control the situation. It gives me a certain peace of mind knowing that my daughter will be equipped with “tools” to stay as safe as possible and my son as well. 🤞🏻
