Pad Thai


If I had to pick a favorite dish Pad Thai would probably be it. This is how I make it and I hope you enjoy it as well.

Pad Thai Recipe (5)


  • 1 Pkg of wide rice noodles
  • 1/4 Cup Onion chopped
  • Thai Chilies ( substitution: 1 1/2 tsp. Thai chili paste or cayenne powder to taste)
  • 3 Cloves of Garlic
  • 1 tsp. fresh grated Ginger
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 T. Tamarind Paste ( substitutions: equal parts lime juice and sugar, Worcestershire sauce, or puree raisins with vinegar) I usually forget to have tamarind paste on hand so I use Worcestershire and it works great.
  • 2 tsp. Lime juice
  • 1/2 Cup Vegetable stock
  • 1/8 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 T. Soy Sauce
  • Tofu ( optional)
  • 1 Egg ( optional)
  • Green Onion
  • Lime Wedges
  • Cilantro
  • Bean Sprouts
  • Crushed Peanuts ( optional)
