Let me ask you a question:

If you had to move and could only pack a backpack, what would you put in your backpack?

  1. My heart and diabetes meds. a change of underwear and a pair of socks. an all weather jacket. a scarf. a lighter or box of matches. a picture of my father, my sister and my two kids. my passport and birth and marriage certificates. my stuffed elephant Dumbo. Where we going?

  2. five favorite wedding photos, five favorite pictures of kids, grandkids, hubby, kitty, and family, tablet, phone, laptop, power cords, wireless charger, cheese and crackers, bible, my cat, matches, water, mace, my wedding rings, a few fave bracelets, cds, cd walkman, kitty food, favorite hat and scarf, gloves, favorite coat, sandals and boots, hand sanitizer, tooth brush, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, olay supply, sunglasses, and important papers.

  3. Phone, iPad, chargers, underwear, pair of pants, socks, TP, paper, pens, soap, towels, sweater, pillow, small blanket, watch, medical appliances, lipstick, hair clip or rubber band, Zantac, Tylenol, toothbrush and paste, water, peanut butter, plastic knife, saltines. Hard to think what necessities you’d need. For our whole day trip to Denver I took my big back pack. It has everything! I finally stopped taking it on daily outings, believing I would have no more unexpected leaks. That took two years before I felt confident. But if it’s a complete day and night, I take the big one. Murphy’s law, right?

  4. And, I’d have to be able to actually carry the backpack, no monster suitcase on rollers? Laptop and one other computer (small) and at least two backup hard drives – after that, important papers, some books, and .. oh, yea, some clothes.

  5. I’ve said all along, that in case of a fire, the first material thing I’m grabbing is my camera, photos, and hard-drives of photos. Same with the backpack. Everything else is replaceable.

  6. Great question! I would wear layers so I wouldn’t have to pack clothes. In the backpack I’d bring my kids’ baby books, extra socks, and a quilt my grandma made me, and my tablet. All that would fit. What about you?
