This was a landmark birthday and I thought a bit of spoiling wouldn’t go amiss, so off we trundled to London. Because I’m not from Peru, don’t possess a red coat and never travel with Marmalade sandwiches I went as myself to Covent Garden and the Royal Opera House
Majestic would be an understatement and as you can see the outside is very similar to the inside with those huge beautiful windows creating an air grandeur and trust me it is grand. Built in 1858 (although the site has been home to theatre since 1732) it has been the home of The Royal Ballet since 1947 and they were given the Royal Charter in 1956. Believe it or not the bar prices are not overly expensive and certainly surpassed by the atmosphere and service which is truly excellent.
