DIY Liquid Laundry Detergent

For years I have been talking about making our own laundry detergent, but I’ve always made one excuse or another as to why I shouldn’t. But last week, I finally did it! And I’m pretty impressed with the results I’m seeing so far!

I made 1 gallon up this time because it’s what I had jars for, but the recipe could easily be doubled. I bought most of my supplies, except the essential oils, from jet.com!

Supplies:

  • 2 gallon bucket
  • water
  • 1/4 Cup Baking Soda
  • 1/4 Cup Super Washing Soda
  • 1/2 Cup Castile Soap
  • 15 drops of your favorite essential oil(s) (I used Joy and Orange)
  • Large spoon and a whisk
  • Container(s) for storage

Step 1:

Measure out 1/4 cup of baking soda. Pour it into your bucket. Measure out 1/4 cup of super washing soda. Pour it into your bucket.
