Let Me Ask You A Question – 10/8/17

Let me ask you a question:

Is the word “offended” over-used ?

      • Yes, I once could discuss politics with friends of opposing views but now they are just rude and condemn me. Debating is dead and I have fewer people to talk about real issues. I also feel like I offend some people by being white… can’t change that and won’t apologize for it either. Peace and love to all!

  1. We have become so politically correct that it’s often better not to make a joke or comment at the risk of ‘offending’ some new group that has emerged. I recently saw an interview with 90-something year old Mel Brooks. He said that his movie, Blazing Saddles, could never be made today because of the politically correct climate we live in. His movie uses the ‘n’ word quite a bit in a comical way. The ironic thing is that it was mostly written by Richard Pryor.

  2. Absolutely, sometimes we must be shocked to grow, though there are some truly offensive things in the world, we take the power from those things by claiming so many minor social infractions as offensive (trying to catch up, running late responding to everything lol)
