  1. Yes. Most things happen on their own time. A person can make themselves crazy with anticipatory stress. I have to work on it a lot because Im overly motivated to get things done.

  2. I need to practice it everyday. I started a game for when I’m in a situation that tries my patience. I had a woman in front of me at the Dunkin Donuts drive through, who ordered ten dozen donuts! The game involves thinking of outrageous stories to pass the time. In my case the woman worked for a charity, which helped feed hungry children in drought-stricken African countries. Those ten dozen donuts would soon be packaged and shipped via UPS’ overnight service. By the next day, hungry children would be partaking of delicious, and calorie dense, sugar-coated pastries. I can only imagine the happy looks on their faces.

  3. Having patience saves one from experiencing high blood pressure and all the other health issues. Also, practicing patience helps interpersonal relationships. Giving patience to others will see the same returned to me when I need it.

  4. I was just thinking about this, sort of. I’m taking beginner guitar lessons and I’m having doubts as I’ve hit a wall relatively early in the process. But I suppose “process” is the key word.

  5. I definitely do. If you gain something too quickly through impatience, it’s never as satisfying. This holds true with children as well. You can’t rush their development or learning. It only sticks if you are patient and let it happen.
