The Dangers of Taking Your Life For Granted

Last night I was watching Evelina take her make up off and brushing her teeth and I realized how much humans take for granted.  I had a friend of mine who went through the same normal nightly routine, kissed his wife good night and in the morning she was dead.  She had died in the night from heart failure.  I was thinking that God forbid anything should ever happen, I would miss those simple moments of watching my wife get ready for bed each evening.

Every day around the world people leave home and never return.  People go to sleep and never wake up.  Normal every day routines result in someone’s last breath.  Think about that for just a moment; let that sink in.  There is no guarantee that you’ll wake up each morning.  There is no guarantee that your spouse, loved one, significant other will return home.

Hold them tight.  Look into their eyes and tell them you love them.

  1. Its one of the main reasons why myself and my partner (and my son) never go to bed on an argument. Also because he cycles everywhere, I always let him know i love him before he leaves.

This is in part due to him losing both his parents at a very early age, so he knows how important it is.
