  1. Truthfully it depends on how much pain I’m in. I would rather take stairs. They are good exercise and like the previous comment, not as likely to have something horrible happen. I’ve never cared for elevators and escalators seem like a bad B movie plot line from a haunted mall movie. If I am in a lot of pain and stairs aren’t possible, I will take an elevator and hold my breath the whole trip.

  2. Escalators are very fun in my opinion! It’s nice to know I can vary the speed at which I pass my surroundings just by deciding to stand or walk. Airports are especially cool because you have the chance to use walkways with flat, moving floors. Absolutely exhilarating!

  3. As long as I could stay on my feet I always took the stairs, and I live on the 16th floor. Now my power chair would have some problems with the stairs, and I’ve fallen enough times to know I still don’t bounce, so it’s the elevator. Escalators were okay for going up, but I hated them going down. Fear of heights had me certain I was going to fall off on the way down, or get caught in the mechanism. Same fear kept me from looking out my windows for two weeks, but fortunately I got over it.
