When I saw today’s theme, Smile, I smiled. I knew the song I wanted immediately and by which artist

I have mentioned I got my love of music from my Dad, and Tony Bennett was one of his favourites. And He soon became one of mine.

The song, “The Shadow of Your Smile”, was originally titled “The Theme From The Sandpiper”. When Tony Bennett recorded it in 1965 he went with the more descriptive title. It has been covered by everyone including Barbra Streisand, Nancy Sinatra, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and others. Tony’s version is the first one I heard and I think the one I like the best.
