      1. I googled it. lol Sandwich technically needs two pieces of some sort of bread with meat cheese and vegetables. Of course there are open faced sandwiches with only one piece of bread. Who knows? Maybe a hot dog fits the definition somehow.

  1. I say yes, because it is “meat” between two slices if “bread” I miss hot dogs of old with buns, flat on sides and grilled before you put in the dog. Then add whatever you like, mustard, relish, onions, and sauerkraut? Now THAT’S a sandwich! :.))

  2. If the sausage is between two pieces of bread, yes. I looked it up. 🙂

    sand·wich
    ˈsanˌ(d)wiCH/
    noun
    noun: sandwich; plural noun: sandwiches

    1.
an item of food consisting of two pieces of bread with meat, cheese, or other filling between them, eaten as a light meal.
    “a ham sandwich”

  3. I have never bought a hot dog in my life. They’re not popular in the U.K. A sandwich must be made of bread, brown or white, with similar shaped filling. You can have a sausage sandwich though……..

  4. Like some said before, yes it is. A hotdog is a sandwich because it’s meat between bread. The bun breaks most of the time anyway. Lol. A hotdog sandwich.
