Exactly two weeks ago today, I turned 49 years old. Exactly 50 weeks from now, I’ll turn 50 years old. YIKES! I’m almost 50 years old, and 50 pounds heavier than I’d like to be. So, I decided this is the perfect time to lose the weight, once and for all. I’ve tried before. In fact earlier this year, I took a three month leave of absence from school and blogging to refocus and lose weight. During that time, it was my goal to lose 30 pounds in 3 months. I was an abject failure, as you can see from THIS POST.

  1. May I wish you the very best of luck. You can do it! You can do it because I’ve done it! Several times in fact. I’m a classic yo-yo dieter. But in the last few years I’ve had a wedding to attend, and my son’s graduation, and i was determined fo lose 40lbs each time. and i did. the trouble is, last year as Chrisfmas approached, i let things slip, and put back on over 20lbs. so now Ive got to start again. i know I can do it though. its not easy, but its worth it. if you keep telling us on your blog how you’re doing, I’m sure that will motivate you!
