Music doth soothe the savage beast.

Music can transport me in an instant.

Paddling the lake, alone. Water is my go-to when I need to chill.
Loading...
Water does it for me too. I can go for a walk at the park around the pond and watch the water. Ahhhhh…….

Yes, sir. 👍🏻

a fifth of Beam. oh wait. that would be some meditation music. the fifth is for the weekend.

I have friends who can drink bourbon on the rocks. I cannot do it. Liquor has never been my thing.

Exercise. Nothing like a good workout to let the negative energy out. Yoga is good too. Or meditation.

I like to walk it out, walk it out. lol

I know, I’ve seen your videos 🙂 walking is actually one of the best kinds of exercise there is.

Walking helps me process things better. My mind gets clear.

Healthy mind, healthy body 🙂

Yep!!

Meditation or the polar opposite…very loud music.
Loading...
Why loud music? And what kind of music?

Pups are great stress relievers. They are unaffected by anything it seems. They just want to lick and love.

Certainly mine does

It used to be floating in a backyard pool. Now it’s music.

The moment I read your “pool” comment I was transported to the coolness of a pool. Floating all the stress away. Now I’m relaxed! 🙂

Music. I try to go for a walk (with music), but music in general. Sometimes it’s Christian, other times, country. When I am beyond LIVID, then it’s normally Eminem (the Recovery cd).
Loading...
Now that music is mostly downloads, what do we call it? Albums? Records? lol
Loading...
We call it the radio (90% of the time). My car is hard wired, so either aux jack for music or thumb drive. So, it would be downloads for those options. 🙂

Music helps, so does going for a walk. Solving the problem (if there really is one) works best.
Loading...
I prefer the walking method. I just need to get out for a brisk stroll.

Writing, poetry, yoga, meditation are my go tos. But lately, I am doing my best to not identify with the stress or anxiety. There’s a big difference between I am stressed and I am experiencing stress. Often, the circumstances are beyond me or my control, and if there is no solution to the problem, it’s not a problem.

I agree. I’m not good at dealing with stress or understanding “I am experiencing stress”. But I have a new therapist who believes she can help with this issue.

Taking a walk or Watching movies.
Loading...
Any movie or one particular movie?
Loading...
I love thrillers, science fiction and adventures.

Yoga, music, cooking and taking a long walk in a quiet place like a park or an empty mall.
Loading...
It seems that taking a walk is leading the pack.

A warm bath… Time spent in a silent place, preferably outdoors. A glass of good wine, a long nap…

Evelina likes a good glass of wine to calm her down. I’m not a drinker so I go for a walk.

🦋 A walk by the river or hosing the garden. The latter is out of the question until the drought breaks though.

Until I read about Australia I didn’t realize it was so dry.
Loading...
There are some coastal places that gets rain but in general it’s rather a dry country.

Xanax.
Loading...
That stuff is so addictive.

I’ve heard that. I take them on an as needed basis for an anxiety disorder. Maybe 1 a month.
Loading...
Music, chocolate, ice cream, a good joke, a good (very short) read, television, prayer, going for a walk, or just some sleep!
Loading...
A good walk seems like a better choice than ice cream. lol I’d weigh 1000 lbs.
Loading...
Haha
Loading...
I count my blessings…
Loading...
Interesting choice. And this works for you?
Loading...
Buspar! Lol. I take the anti anxiety drug. I also walk outside and meditate
Loading...
I like the walking outside option more than the meds option, but take them if you need them. I tried an anti-anxiety med and it messed with my head too much.
Loading...
Lol I walk outside. I’m now on CBD but continue to take buspar the CBD oil has helped but like you walking for me is what works the must

It depends on what I am stressing about, but generally I take it to Papa or the Tarot.

Does Tarot calm you down?

Yes it does. You have to present. It’s the ritual of it too. Lighting candles, incense and shuffling, and you get answeres.
