‘Rat Race’ according to Wikipedia
A rat race is an endless, self-defeating, or pointless pursuit. The phrase equates humans to rats attempting to earn a reward such as cheese, to no avail. It may also refer to a competitive struggle to get ahead financially or routinely.
Do I remember,when I joined the rat race ?
I am not sure,but I can recollect 1.My school days. 2.My college days.3 As an employee/consultant & 4. As I am aging.

I hate to get up early in the morning,but sadly that is the routine.With Heavy school bag and daily grinding,it used to be a tiresome job.
And remember plenty of examination schedules and so much pressure from parents,to get the first rank ,not in one subject…
