A little of both. I have to have some degree of a game plan, but I’m not especially patient.

I need the plan as well.
I prefer to make a plan, but sometimes I do just get started and then often have to improvise. Part of that has to do with how urgent the task feels.
I’m def a planner. Sometimes I’d be nice to just start, but my mind has to plan first.

🦋 I tend to agree. Some jobs are done so often the doing is the need. While a less regular or more demanding job needs some planning. I know people who spend so much time planning that the job is never done. 😜

9.9 times out of 10, I’ve already worked through it in my mind before I get to work.
I used to be organized and planned everything. Now I’m more spontaneous because my life demands it. I try not to get stuck in a rut or routine. I’ve been there, done that. Now I realize how short life is of course and try to live for the moment, if that makes sense.

I walk determinedly to the task and use the journey to weigh up the best starting point. Because it isn’t an opportunity unless you take it. Spontinaety has its benefits. But my managers head sometimes … if there is time; kicks in with a plan.
My manager head always kicks in with a plan. I like it that way.
There is often one tried and tested plan we can dig out on the walk to the issue. It helps being old 😀😁😂😃

I make a plan a plan and set goals pretty quick. But Im definitely a person that if there is an idea then lets do it. We can change direction as needed. So people will usually have to spell out to me…”this is just an idea to Think about” 😁
Depends on the task. Often just getting started leads to the plan. Do try to figure out what materials will be needed and costs. Great question. Thank you.

I can do either. I like to have a plan but if everyone is sitting around talking the whole thing to death then I will jump in and try to light a fire under some part of the task to get it going.
I like to plan before starting a new task. I always remember the saying ‘If to fail to plan you plan to fail ‘ .
I agree, but I know people who spend all their time planning and when they have done planning, they have no time for the job.
Or they plan and then don’t take action. I was like that for a long time. I never did anything with all the planning.

It depends on the task I’m trying to accomplish. Sometimes I get lucky and it’s productive.
