Genre depends on mood, but partial to Spy stuff (Len Deighton) Historical stuff (Bernard Cornwell) Life stuff (Sadie Jones) list is endless. Favourite book The Old Man and the Sea, Hemingway is my favourite author 😀 Sorry, a bit sensible for me 😜
Do read his Demian. He has a Siddhartha Demian too but I am taking about Demian. Its a coming-of-age book. I loved it because I was going through that time then
It varies…I like historical fiction and non-fiction a lot. The Far Pavillions (British India and local customs clash) is fictional and The Devil in the White City (murders during the World’s Fair) is non-fiction and are two of my all-time favorites. The Devil….reads as if it could be fiction. Hard to believe all that took place. Many surprises lie within those pages.
It was GREAT! I still have my copy because I knew I would read it again. I will probably have my daughter read it for high school. There are several “WOW” factors in that book.
Bildungsroman or coming-of-age. Maybe because I am in the time right now. Favourite book is Demian by Hermann Hesse. I also love Kafka on the shore, The old man and the sea, The ones who walked away from the Omelas and the story of my life( Helen Keller’s autobiography)
Stories of the sea, ghost stories, shipwrecks, pirates.

The last fiction book I read was The Divinci Code was I guess I’m a historical fiction type guy.

The first real book I ever read (with a little help from my Dad) was Robert Heinlein’s “Rocket Ship Galileo”.

Old man and the sea is one my favourites too. That ending shocked me. Though my favourite author is Hermann Hesse

The Secret for sure! I also like The Magic. They teach you about gratitude and using the law of attraction.

I’ve had The Secret recommended a couple of times. I am going to order it.
