I know there are people who can be energy vampires, but what activities would you say can negatively impact your positive energy?

Whiners, complainers, rude and entitled, unearned arrogance, and bigots. Just for starters.
What kind of activities do you find are energy vampires?
Waiting in line. Traffic. Work, some days. Dealing with individuals who have the behaviors I mentioned in my previous comment.
I find traffic to be a drain on me. Probably the most irritating.
Yeah, it’s maddening to move a foot then sit. Or to see the light turn green but not move at all. Ugh.
Politics, traffic (includes pet peeve, tailgaters), waiting for deliveries and home repair persons or return phone calls … There must be more.
Haha, motivational meetings, emails from the idiots on the third floor, constant admin, (caused by the idiots on the third floor) shopping when I’m not in the mood and watching England play football (I don’t do that anymore) Oh and as a link to a previous question, Christmas 😂😂
It sounds like you need to remove the third floor from your life. lmao
😂😂 Am trying
Letting myself become angry and affected by others around me. Then I end up using my energy on that anger instead of what I should be focusing on.
I try to keep my focus on things I can control, but they have such a cunning way of tricking me. Then later I realize I wasted time and energy on something I should have avoided like the plague.
Injustice, Racism, Bigotry, Judgements, Listening to Gossip.
Gossip! Good one. Not that the others aren’t but I think they are obvious and I doubt a lot of people realize how much damage it does to us to be a part of.
Watching the news, sitting amongst a bunch of complaining people, and talking to people who don’t actively listen.
The news is such a drain which is why I eliminated it. I just couldn’t take it anymore.
Unfortunately Unfortunately so much has been going on that I have to check in.
People that are obviously intelligent that don’t use their smarts for good.
I am currently working with someone (manager) who is a manipulator. Cannot trust anything out of this person’s mouth. They say one thing to one person and a different thing to someone else. I just keep giving them rope. They will accomplish the task on their own eventually.
They usually do. We had a person like that that badgered our client for more sales so much, the client asked for them to be banned from their campus while they kept the rest of our team.
Some people just don’t get it.
Easy, waiting in the car because I can’t get out or go in. Waiting…horrible.
I…..hate……waiting! lol
Backbiting. People who must always have an enemy to be bashing behind their backs and rally everyone else against whatever the ‘enemy du jour’ is.
I try to keep other people’s name out of my mouth. Gossip, bad-mouthing are both poison.
From The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. “Be impeccable with your word.” In other words, don’t say anything you would not be willing to own. It is very liberating.
