WOW!!! Tough question. I can’t say it was the greatest movie ever made, but one of my favorites is The Great Escape, with James Garner and Steve McQueen. My dad and I watched that movie dozens and dozens of times, and i still watch it at least once or twice a year. Strange movie for a woman to have as her favorite, I know, but my dad raised me to be a WWII buff, plus it was something my dad and I enjoyed watching together.
Geez, this is a very difficult question. And are you wanting the “best” movie or the most influential movie? Some would likely pick a classic. Not being a huge movie buff, I’ll go with ones I’d put in my favorites list: “Apocalypse Now”, “Bull Durham”, “Saving Private Ryan”, “Caddyshack”, or “The Blues Brothers”. Take your pick. 😃
I couldn’t say. There are so many great movies, all special for different reasons… Some entertaining, some inspiring, some thought provoking. I can’t pick just one.
Living in Texas, I always thought Giant was typical if the lifestyle of big ranchers, but all the ones mentioned above are great. I think categorizing them makes a difference. I pretty much like all except horror
Lawrence of Arabia. Any film by David Lean ( Dr.Zhivago, Bridge on the River Kwai etc) is good and is the kind of big screen epic brilliantly edited that we will not see again. So it is fun to look back. My contemporary favorite films would be a long list…..LaLaLand, Lars and the Real Girl, Apocalypse Now, The Deerhunter, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
I feel it’s Gravity and Avatar. And then there are these two Indian movies which I think are a great influence on a person’s life: 3 Idiots and Padman. You guys should definitely watch them.
Umm…there’s a lot of good bollywood movies. 3 idiots, My name is Khan, Bajrangi bhaijaan, Mardaani, Pink, Lagaan, English Vinglish. They are all good. If you have time, give them a watch. Bollywood has some really heart-touching movies besides all it’s dances and glitter

I was going to say that some men might claim that one, but not a lot of women.

Interesting choice. What elements make you stake this claim?

For the time it was a wonder. The story is solid and I was pretty much raised on it living in Georgia. It made me feel.

I don’t know, or can’t decide – Young Frankenstein? The Lion In Winter (original)? The Day The Earth Stood Still? The Maltese Falcon? ???????

All great classics. I’d like to jump in a time machine and experience Hollywood during those days.

Great choice! Bogart at his finest. That movie has created a lifelong dream of visiting Morocco.

Rubber, sharknado, sand sharks, ice sharks,
The story of my life I am fairly sure would be up there if it was ever made.
Sorry Danny I tried to think of a serious answer as well, but there are just so many variables and I honestly couldn’t think of one

Sharknado made me laugh. I couldn’t watch it. I lasted 15 minutes.

I have watched all five, they are fantastic as long as you don’t take them seriously
