I graduated from UNC Charlotte with a BA in Religious History with an emphasis in early Christian origins. I have spent my adult life as an amateur philosopher and avid student of the academic side of Christian origins. My interest in philosophy has led me to observing human behavior, especially as it relates to personal fulfillment and achieving success. It is my mission to help dreamers understand how to become doers. By understanding a few universal principles those that wish, hope, dream, but never achieve can find the personal success they have always wanted.

Like always, up at the crack of dawn for boys to tear into everything, a late breakfast for the 5 of us, other guests arriving around noon, lots of food and drink, dinner, more presents, then the dreaded cleanup. Tomorrow will be a long day, but a fun one. And, now that my boys are getting older, I won’t be up until 3:00am tonight putting anything together. I kinda miss that part of it though.

Merry Christmas to you and yours!

I'm five years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. 2. bobcabkings – Western North Carolina, USA – I am a retired mental health professional, having worked in SMI Case Management, Crisis Services, and Substance Abuse/Addiction Treatment. I retired in 2006 to become the primary care giver for my father who then was then beginning to suffer from dementia until Dad died in late 2013. Prior to getting into mental health work I held many different jobs including cab driver, toy maker, welfare case worker, and others. I am an Army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. Looking back on my 70 years I like a quote from a line from a song,”What a long, strange trip its been.” Looking forward, from another poet, “Where to? What next?”

Quietly, listening to non-holiday music (already overdosed on that), and toting in fire wood – stuff like that.

Well, being that it’s 4.40pm on Christmas Day here in Sydney Australia, I’ll tell you what we DID on Christmas Day. 🙂

Norm and I had a sleep-over at our son and daugter-in-law last night. We were woken by the grandchildren at 6.30am and spent an hour creating memories before a hot breakfast of everything we shouldn’t. 😉 Then we opened more presents and had more fun before we headed home. (All this before 10am)

At 11am Norm picked up my 92 year old Dad from the nursing home and brought him home for Christmas lunch. We also invited an 89 year old neighbour over. Dad and he had been friends when Dad lived with us and is now a widower and alone.

This afternoon we talked to our other grandchildren who live 4 hours away.

Now We’re winding down and ready for a nap.

    Merry Christmas everyone.

  9. dweezer19 – Hi, Cheryl here. I can hardly believe how quickly the years have added up since I first began blogging, with life events that saw me migrate from the US to Paradise and back-twice! I would not give anything for the rich experiences we had in Costa Rica and I miss it every day. We will visit every chance we get; however, life is rarely a straight and wide path and for this portion of it we are back living in the states. I am fortunate to be living in a place rich with wildlife, beauty and wonderful inspiration. If you hang around I promise I will keep sharing with you and hope you find something to enjoy in what my camera and I manage to capture. My deepest desire is to find and show the common vein that connects us all. We live as one, breathe as one, were created as one. If we could just combine all our brilliant thoughts into one fine idea, what a wonderful world we would have. Love and Light. My tropicalaffair site is full and so I have moved. You can still read about our adventures here or hop over to my new place at https://dreamingreality646941880.wordpress.com/2018/01/12/first-blog-post/ I hope to see you there!
