I don’t often get to sit peacefully, although during the spring, summer, and early fall, I can usually wear my kids out enough by jumping with them on the trampoline that we can lay on our backs and watch the clouds roll by for at least 30 seconds. 3 minutes if I’m lucky. 😉
Yes. I’ve been doing this since I was a kid. When I was young I loved lying out looking up at the clouds and pretending I could see various things made from the clouds. Somehow the sky as well as the clouds exude a sense of peace
My therapy! Stars, clouds, blue sky, listening to the cows, being curious with sounds of nature, following animal tracks and usually getting lost for hours doing this! Its extremely meditative and drops the cortisol levels instantly! I love being outside and that is truly my therapy when I start getting overwhelmed or stressed. Its funny one of the gifts MS gave me, with Optic Neuritis is a very different type of entertainment for myself. I know seem to see things that others don’t. Maybe its embracing my imagination or maybe its ON but its amazing. I will see what looks like a beautiful turquoise bird and when I get close its a dead weed! My Neuro laughs at my discoveries…;-)
Yep, the stars too.

It is a very nice way to connect with nature, and it always makes me realize how very small I am, and humble I should be.

If I don’t have some type of peaceful time I will lose my mind.

I last remember doing that in my childhood during power outages. You reminded me the thing I was missing out these days, thanks!
