I love both too, but I am definately a cat person. Dogs require so much more care than cats! Having a dog is like having a toddler in the house. Cats are more like teenagers that you won’t have to put through college! LOL
I agree that dogs are much more appreciative 🙂 We had both cats and dogs when I was a child, and I loved them equally. When I moved out to live my own life, it just was more convenient to stick to cats for a pet. But I’d really like to have a dog again, if I ever move into a house. That would have to be a big one, though. I much prefer larger breeds.
Well, those dogs came along with their already established humans. In fact, the only dog for which I had full responsibility was my dad’s last dog after he had to go into a nursing home and then dies. The dog (also elderly) reached his end about a year later. Dad was one of those people who always had a dog.
Both. When I was growing up we always had dogs. I grew up in a house with a front and Backyard. However since 1990 my living Space has been small so I have a cat. Cats can adjust to small living areas. However I think that it would be cruel to keep a dog cooped up in a tiny room. Dogs need Space. Since the mid 1980s I’ve had many cats. Fortunately my next door neighbors have a dog which I get to walk or play with. Visitation rights. Lol.
I like both, and we have both. But, I’m a dog person. Dogs rock.

Both. But, I have started liking dogs more. Can’t say would love to have both as long as my house is not at rant between a dog and a cat fight.

I would not want to own a dog and a cat. One animal is enough.

I’ve owned both and I choose dogs. They do require more attention but that greeting when I get home is better than anything in life.

I love dogs, but I’ve mostly lived with cats. The dogs in my life have come attached to other humans.

I wonder why dogs attach to others?

I love dogs for one reason and that is the unconditional love they bring to my life. Our little dog would sacrifice his life to protect us.
