Words without brakes

Susie Shy 45

It is surprising how reading a book inspires one to write. A fountain that was dried up seems to want to send out water again. A tap that ran dry seems to be waiting to be opened up and let flow. Poetry seems to be flowing out. Can there be magic in a pen and can magic transfer from one writer to another ? It would seem so.

When I post, usually I read and re-read and sometimes trash my posts because they have been written over days and the day I am ready to publish, the post does not resonate with my inner muse anymore. Time has changed my outlook on the same issue even though much time has not gone by. Even seconds can change one’s way of looking at the same thing. Writing a post for me is like capturing a moment on a photographic plate, slicing…

There’s a first to everything…

Cyranny's Cove

And I can’t believe it took me this long to try this.

I watch my fair share of cooking tv shows. And one thing that always amazed me was to see people make fresh pasta from scratch for one hour challenges! I mean, it does look easy, but as much as I am confident in my cooking skills, making fresh pasta seemed totally out of my league!

And last Christmas, my parents offered me whole pasta kit. Semi professional rolling mill and all the gadgets that come with it.

So tonight, I rolled up my sleeves, and I decided to try to make spaghetti. First I had to mix and work the pasta dough. Surprisingly, it went pretty well, and after ten minutes of kneading, I left my dough to sit for half an hour…

Helgstrand Dressage and Haute Couture Horses!

HorseAddict

Wednesday, January 9. 2019 was the ‘preview’ of the horses at Helgstrand Dressage. This is the creme de la creme of dressage horses. They have many of the qualities of haute couture fashion garments: high-quality, expensive, sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable sewers. These horses are high quality, trained with extreme attention to detail and ridden by highly capable riders. And yes, they are expensive. Here are some photos from the evening.

Andreas Helgstrand introduced the horses and told us where they came from and how long he had them. He said that every horse he would takes on must have three good gaits. If the trot was spectacular but the walk was not good that horse would not be brought to Helgstrand Dressage.

One of my favorites was a smaller horse who was described at “green for his age”. He was…

The Silent Soldier

www.sceneoetry.com

He is the hero who stands beside you always

Have you ever noticed him during any occasions

Fulfilling your demand while isolating his own ones?

Just take a second and look at his eyes

You will face a fellow, believes in the hope of light.

The nights till now you have been sleeping without any fear

The credit, you will never know, goes to his unseen tears.

The tears that converted into a powerful resource

Leading everything smooth even at a stage of very worse.

He never demanded anything, nor he will but

Just doing his noble job selflessly that you must concede.

He is the one who always believes silently that you can

Standing beside you even when you think you have none.

#Specially dedicated to all fathers.

Iridium Eye: 2018 in Review Pt. 1 -Top 10 most viewed posts-

Iridium Eye Reviews

Happy-New-Year

Happy new year, everybody! 2018 is gone, but 2019 is here. I hope that this year becomes great.

2018 was interesting since I was able to do some great reviews, but unfortunately, I was on a hiatus that lasted several months, so I didn’t have as much content consistently as much which I do apologize. I did notice that I got more views this year and I finally reached over 10,000 views total since Iridium Eye’s inception. Let’s start with something that was an Iridium Eye first and we’ll get on with the most viewed reviews of 2018!
