Friday, December 1, Do something good for the earth, go plastic free, go for a walk and smile at the people you meet.
Sunday, December 3, List three things you are thankful for.
Monday, December 4, National Sock Day: Donate socks to a homeless shelter.
Tuesday, December 5, Call someone you haven’t talked to in a while, an aunt or uncle, cousin or friend.
Wednesday, December 6, Listen to people with eye contact.

To have and to hold…in sickness and in health…for as long as we both shall live.
I’m sure when my husband spoke those words nineteen years ago he had no idea he’d have to deal with the “in sickness” part of it so early in our life together. We were both active-duty military, both strong-bodied and strong-willed.
Fast-forward about fourteen years, and everything started going haywire. When I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, it was almost a relief. After a couple of years of worrisome symptoms and no answers, it was good to finally put a name to what was wrong with me. For about six months I was extremely ill and barely left the house, but he never once wavered in his commitment to me and to our marriage.

Kindness seems to be the theme of the day!
I smiled when I walked into the local laundromat this morning. It wasn’t just because I was happy to be washing our large comforters and bedding.
Many of the washers and dryers were adorned with sticky notes. Positive, loving, encouraging reminders. A random act of kindness that brightened my day and warmed my heart. Just what I needed.
Small gestures of kindness mean so much!

Whew! Halfway through another week. Can you believe, Thanksgivingis next week? Wow, this year is really going 100 miles an hour it seems. With life’s uncertainties, & issues possibly in your own lives, it’s easy to not feel content because of things that didn’t go the way we’ve planned. Perhaps you’re going through the worst time ever, or maybe you’re not personally going through turmoil right now, but may know someone else who is.
So, my wish for you today is….Be Thankful. Try to embrace what you DO have. Think about one thing that you’re grateful for & that you enjoy. A good way to get your mind off your own woes, is to find someone else you can do something for. Give & volunteer your time…find ways to brighten someone’s day, it can be as simple as making conversation. If everything’s good with you, Great…all the more reason…
