The Dalai Lama, was born as Lhamo Thondup, in Taktser, Tibet on July 6, 1935. He is currently the 14th Dalai Lama, in straight succession, of people to hold that title. He is the head of the order of Gelugpa Buddhism and Tibetan political leader.
If you’ve ever seen photos or television interviews of the Dalai Lama, most likely, he is smiling. Listening to him talk, hearing his infectious laugh and seeing his beautiful smile always inspires me, makes me happy and brings a smile to my own face.
So, what is the secret to happiness, according to His Holiness, the Dalai Lama? I have found a video showcasing 5 clips with him, speaking on finding inner peace and happiness.

Hello all! I apologize for being so busy this week that I haven’t posted much. An update on my life: I have been bogged down with Mondays and Wednesdays packed with classes till 8:30 pm, and my Houstonia Magazine fellowship from 9:30-5 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In addition to that, I have been out the rest of the weekend interviewing Simone Biles (yes, the Olympic gold medalist) and Haute Hijab CEO Melanie Elturk, attending events to cover for the magazine, spending time with friends, volunteering, and filming/editing YouTube videos. Events and interviews may seem like fun, and don’t get me wrong. They are. There is always so much to do that I constantly have this voice in my head nagging about some other event I need to run to another deadline to meet, even if it’s a self-imposed one.
